Abstract
This qualitative case study looked at teacher technology readiness before the 2020
pandemic. The researcher used snowballing to gather participants in an online survey involving teachers and administrators who experienced the move to online instruction in March 2020. The survey asked respondents about their technology training, online experiences, and collaborative efforts while instructing online during the COVID-19 pandemic. The key findings were that the participant teachers identified having little or no technology training during their teacher training, and most were not prepared for the move to online instruction. They included comments that lack of training on online pedagogy, apps, software, and hardware hindered their instruction. Additionally, the study found that most participants did not use collaborative efforts.
